Welcome to the Tamil Nadu Influencers Premier League (TNIPL) 2026 — Tamil Nadu's first exclusive mixed-gender Tennis Ball Cricket Championship built for influencers.

More than a sporting event, TNIPL is a platform where influencers, content creators, vloggers, and branding professionals come together to connect, collaborate, compete and build meaningful business relationships. One official team per district. 41 teams on one field.

How The Game Is Played

A fast, knockout format built for a two-day championship — sharp enough for competitive cricket, short enough to leave time for the boardroom.

Teams - Knockout format tournament.

Overs per innings, with a 5-minute break between innings.

Players on the field per side, wicketkeeper mandatory.

Maximum squad size — 7 playing, plus 3 substitutes, and 1 coach/owner. Minimum 3 women per squad.

Match Day Regulations

Every match is officiated by neutral umpires under a consistent set of playing conditions. The essentials, grouped for a quick read — open any section for the full detail.

01Toss & Batting

The toss decides batting or bowling; the visiting team calls the toss.
An innings ends after 10 overs or when all wickets fall.
A retired-hurt batter may return to the crease later in the innings.
Last-man batting is not permitted.

02Bowling & Fielding

Maximum 2 overs per bowler; a minimum of 5 bowlers must be used per innings.
Consecutive overs by the same bowler are not permitted.
Maximum 7 fielders on the field; a wicketkeeper is mandatory.
Substitutions are allowed only at the innings break or in case of injury.

03No Ball, Wide & Powerplay

A no ball or wide costs one run plus one extra delivery.
A waist-high full toss is automatically called a no ball; dangerous bowling may draw warnings or suspension.
Powerplay, overs 1–2: maximum 2 fielders outside the inner circle.
Remaining overs: maximum 5 fielders outside the inner circle.

04Boundaries, Results & Ties

Boundary dimensions are venue-dependent — approx. 55–60m straight, 45–50m square.
The team with the higher score wins.
A tie goes to a Super Over; if still tied, the higher boundary count; if still tied, the toss.

05Rain Rules & Umpiring

Overs may be reduced depending on weather; the DLS method will not be used — the Tournament Committee's decision is final.
Neutral umpires officiate every match and their decisions are final.
Abuse of, or arguments with, umpires will not be tolerated.

06Code of Conduct & Dress Code

No abuse of opponents, umpires or officials; no damage to tournament property; no fighting, misconduct or offensive language; no alcohol or prohibited substances during tournament activities.
Violations may draw a warning, match ban, or tournament disqualification.
The official TNIPL jersey and sports shoes are compulsory; track pants or cricket trousers recommended.
Jeans and casual footwear are strictly prohibited.

07Reporting, Protest & Replacement

Teams must report at least 45 minutes before their scheduled match — late reporting may result in a walkover.
Protests must be submitted in writing, with the prescribed fee, within 15 minutes of the match ending.
Player replacement is permitted only before the tournament begins, or for a medical emergency with Committee approval — not after a team's first match without approval.

08Committee Rights & Fair Play

The Organising Committee may amend rules, modify fixtures, change match timings or venue, and interpret these rules as required — its decision is final and binding.
Every participant pledges to respect the game, opponents, umpires, the spirit of influencership, and to uphold fair play at all times.
